Pragmata Unveils Fresh Artwork and Gameplay Insights
More Information for PRAGMATA
Capcom is marking a major milestone for PRAGMATA at Gamescom 2025, giving the public its first hands-on experience with the long-awaited sci-fi adventure. To celebrate, the company has unveiled new details on its Hacking-based combat system alongside fresh character and enemy artwork. You can check it out at the Capcom Press Center right now.
In the game, players step into the roles of Hugh and Diana as they attempt to escape a lunar research station filled with dangers. Among the threats are the Walkers, humanoid bots designed by Delphi Corporation. Originally developed for support roles, their M4AM model is specifically enhanced to withstand low gravity conditions, making them formidable foes in the game’s lunar setting.
According to today’s reveal, players will face greater challenges with the SectorGuard, a massive bot from Delphi’s S-35 line built to defend sensitive installations. Equipped with spherical arm modules containing guided weaponry and low-gravity ballistics, the SectorGuard demands careful strategy. Players must rely on Hugh’s thrusters to evade attacks while Diana Hacks into its systems to weaken defenses.
This encounter also introduces Overdrive Protocol, a powerful hacking ability. When charged, it allows Diana to hack multiple enemies simultaneously, breaking through armor and halting their movement. The ability, however, requires precise timing to maximize its effectiveness.
Combat is further enriched through Hack Nodes scattered across the environment. By activating these nodes, players can temporarily reduce enemy defenses, creating new tactical opportunities. One such node, the Decode Node, weakens foes for a short duration, adding layers of strategy to every encounter.
Fans eager to try the experience can do so at Gamescom 2025, as well as at PAX West in Seattle from August 29 to September 1. A browser-based Hacking Minigame is also available on the official website.
PRAGMATA will come out sometime in 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
