New artwork ‘to offer hope and healing to veterans’
An artwork dedicated to offering “hope and healing” has been installed at a veterans’ campus.
The Transformers was created by ceramic artist Christie Brown and has now been donated to veterans homing charity Entrain Space, which has installed it at its site at the former Erskine Barracks in Wilton near Salisbury in Wiltshire.
Made of fired clay, the sculpture was originally shown as part of a major London exhibition at Wapping Hydraulic Power Station in 2000.
Ms Brown said: “The key idea behind the making of The Transformers was to offer hope and healing through a transformational experience. I hope the inspiration behind this work can contribute to that process at Entrain Space.”
