D&D Monster Changed To Stop It From Turning Into Player’s Pants
The developers of the Dungeons & Dragons 2025 Monster Manual have revealed a shocking change they rolled back.
The next adventure anthology is called Dragon Delves, and it launches on July 8, 2025. This book will feature ten adventures, each one connecting to one of the five Chromatic dragons (Black, Blue, Green, Red, and White) and the five Metallic dragons (Brass, Bronze, Copper, Gold, and Silver.)
Wizards of the Coast revealed some of the artwork for Dragons Delve at MagicCon: Chicago, alongside the announcement of the next D&D x Magic: The Gathering crossover. These include both of the covers that will be available.
Dragons Delve Has Some Of The Most Unique D&D Artwork To Date
While the D&D books tend to feature pieces from multiple artists, they tend to follow the same style. Dragons Delve will be a departure from this format, as it will feature artwork in a number of styles, such as the neon dragon cover created by Justine Jones, as seen above.
The other cover features all five Chromatic dragons facing a party of adventurers created by Greg Staples. Some of the other pieces include a black & white dragon drawing by Luke Eidenschink, a stylized white dragon by Ed Kwong, and a sinister green dragon by Dominik Mayer.

Popular Baldur’s Gate 3 Character Took The Spotlight From Iconic D&D Villain In New Book
The 2025 Dungeons & Dragons snubbed an iconic villain to give a Baldur’s Gate 3 some time in the text.
Dragons Delve is set to feature adventures running from Levels 1-12. As such, players shouldn’t be expecting to fight epic-tier ancient dragons in the book, as not all the adventures will be about mortal combat with mighty wyrms.
The artwork on display at MagicCon: Chicago prominently features Chromatic dragons, who are generally evil and often act as the villains of campaigns. It’s likely that the Dragons Delve adventures won’t be simple fights against big scaly boys, as DMs can easily write those encounters on their own, so it will be up to the developers of the book to come up with more interesting ideas for people to use.
