‘Shelby Oaks’ Star Sarah Durn Inks With Innovative Artists Entertainment
EXCLUSIVE: Sarah Durn, star of the buzzy Neon horror-thriller Shelby Oaks, has signed with Innovative Artists Entertainment for representation in all areas.
Directed by Chris Stuckmann and executive produced by Mike Flanagan, Shelby Oaks is a found footage flick that was snapped up by Neon ahead of its world premiere at Fantasia Festival. The most-funded horror film project in Kickstarter history, with $1,390,845 raised from 14,720 backers, the film watches as a woman’s desperate search for her long-lost sister falls into obsession upon realizing that the imaginary demon from their childhood may have been real. It releases in theaters at the end of this month.

Previously, Durn has appeared in Sony’s Where the Crawdads Sing opposite Daisy Edgar-Jones and executive produced by Reese Witherspoon, Universal’s Renfield opposite Nicolas Cage, Awkwafina, and Nicholas Hoult, Netflix’s We Have a Ghost opposite David Harbour and directed by Christopher Landon, NBC’s Chicago P.D., and Ava DuVernay’s acclaimed OWN series Queen Sugar. She has also worked with Boots Riley on his surreal Amazon satire I’m a Virgo, opposite Walton Goggins, and appears opposite Taron Egerton in Netflix’s third most popular film ever, the action-thriller Carry On from Jaume Collet-Serra.
On stage, Durn has performed in over 10 professional productions across the U.S., including productions of Stupid F**ing Bird, A Doll’s House Part 2, and The Wolves. In addition to her work as an actor, she is a bestselling author and journalist whose first book, The Beginner’s Guide to Alchemy, was published by Rockridge Press in 2020. As a writer, she has contributed to major outlets, including the New York Times, National Geographic, Smithsonian, WIRED and Popular Science.
