An acclaimed artist from Ballymena who spent 25 years creating a copy of one of the world’s most famous paintings has welcomed the arrival of the original in Northern Ireland.

Paul Bell built an international fan base on the back of his paintings of cows, but his interpretation of Caravaggio’s Supper at Emmaus, which hangs in his living room, is one of his proudest achievements.
